How to make petals and leaves

These instructions complement the video tutorial.

Steps:

  1. Wrap the florist wire around the plastic cylinder (the size of the plastic cylinder will determine the size of the petal).
  2. Use the plier (for nylon making) to close the florist wire, this forms a circular wire frame. Using the cutter in the plier cut away the surplus wire that you do not need.
  3. Choose the colour of nylon fabric you want to use. Wrap the nylon fabric around the circular frame. The circular frame should be completely enclosed by the nylon fabric.
  4. Select the colour of the the nylon thread you want to use. Wrap the thread around the base of the wire frame, to hold the nylon fabric in place.
  5. Using scissors, cut away the surplus nylon fabric at the base of the frame.
